One carton, one gear package

Every WOLACH system ships as a single carton containing the machine and the standard gear package. Nothing in the package is an optional extra, and nothing in it is a consumable you have to buy before your first dive — the machine arrives charged and ready to descend. This is the same package our service team unpacks in the unboxing footage below.

The surface unit lifted out of the carton
The surface unit comes out first. Leave the carry handles folded until the unit is on the ground.

The standard gear package

  • Surface-supplied diving machine (12 V, oil-free)
  • Air intake pipe with the filter housing
  • Air hose — 12 m on the S6, 15 m on the S7, longer on the S9 and S77
  • Inflatable airbag / float
  • Charger with the plug for your country
  • 2 × washable carbon-rod filters and cotton filter elements
  • Adjustable harness (vest)
  • Maintenance tools
  • Second-stage regulator
  • Owner's manual
Hose and connectors laid out on a bench
The hose ships coiled with the quick-connect capped. Check the cap is still fitted before you uncoil.

First five minutes

Unfold the handles, set the unit down where it will not tip, and fit the air intake pipe before anything else — it is much easier to seat while the machine is still clean. Screw the filter housing on hand-tight with the supplied tool; overtightening is the most common cause of a cracked housing, and a cracked housing is not a warranty claim.

Connecting the hose to the unit
The quick-connect only seats one way. Push until it clicks, then pull to confirm.

What people ask before the first dive

Two questions come up every time. First: does the battery need charging before the first dive? No — it ships at roughly 60% charge, which is the storage level we recommend, and it is enough for a first outing. Second: is the hose already connected? It is not, and it should not be — uncoil it fully on the surface and connect it last, so you can see the whole run before you clip the regulator on.

FAQ

Do I need a diving certification?
Yes. These are surface-supplied breathing systems for certified divers (Open Water or equivalent). Always dive with a buddy, a dive computer and within no-decompression limits.
How deep can I go?
S6 is rated to 8 m, S7 to 12 m, S9 to 20 m and S77 to 29 m. Always dive to the rated depth, never the laboratory-tested figure.
What happens if the battery runs low?
The unit sounds a low-battery alarm and the display shows remaining charge. Plan to start your ascent with at least 25% remaining, and carry a spare-air cylinder.
